We have successfully installed and commissioned project of automatization of water supply system of Kutaisi Airport. The well system is operated by a PLC controller which regulates performance of well pumps at a predetermined pressure. Complete process is displayed on the HMI panel, and if necessary, automatic process can be switched to manual control mode. The customer of the project is INSI, infrastructure management and implementation company, final user of the systems is Kutaisi International Airport, and the executives are ToxSoft Georgia and we, VORTEX Water Engineering.
Three stage treatment layout has been selected for YTONG Caucasus building materials factory located in Tbilisi, Georgia. Source water is a channel passing by the plant and is highly polluted, thus a special approach was required to acheive treated water of acceptable quality. Three phases of mechanical treatments are combined with oxidation, and from water turbidity of NTU 25 we deliver <3.
We installed and performed commissioning of water treatment system for Radisson Collection hotel in Tsinandali, Georgia. After the commissioning, all chemical and microbiological parameters of the treated water were of much higher quality than requested by national drinking water standards. The system consists of mechanical and carbon filtration, followed by softening and Reverse Osmosis, and remineralization unit. Exploitations and maintenance of the systems is conducted by the hotel staff. The project was contracted to VORTEX by company MEPPERS.
We setup a system of product water mechanical filtration, followed by ultraviolet radiation for damaging DNA of microbiological organisms, to limit their reproduction. We also installed new, PVC-U, replacing existing polypropylene pipes, which increases quality of treated water.
VORTEX selected, installed and successfully commissioned water chlorination system on incoming raw water for Coca-Cola's new production plant. Also, VORTEX got an order on mechanical treatment of water turbidity for mineral water production at Coca-Cola.
VORTEX offered complete engineering services to Cobra. Our task was to find a solution to long-term standing problem of measuring turbidity in incoming potable water. VORTEX found a reason for impossibility of measuring turbidity, designed custom engineering solution, installed and successfully commissioned the system. The system works fully in automatic mode, measures turbidity of water with at least 95 per cent precision, and automatically controls condition of the sensor, using Prognosys maintenance module installed. Based on the value of turbidity of water, using sensor Solitax SC, paired with SC1000 Controller by Hach, water pressurization / filtration plant is altering modes of operation, from filtering of water if turbidity level is satisfactory, or discharging highly turbid water into a river.
VORTEX selected, delivered, and successfully commissioned Ultrafiltration system for one of the oldest and outstanding with its quality, Georgian brewery ARGO. From a source water, contaminated with high amount of silt, which made it impossible to measure SDI (silt density index), we turned the SDI index into 1.1, in combination with minimum hourly supply of water of 40 m3/h, versus promised amount 32 m3/h. So, we exceeded all promises and expectations, in terms of SDI with 300 per cent, and in terms of water quantity with 31 per cent
