2026 – Within the framework of Georgian Technical University's project "Harnessing Algae Energy for Pollution Reduction and Blue Growth," a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the project coordinator, Givi Gavardashvili, and VORTEX Water Engineering.
This cooperation aims to support:
- Achieving the project's objectives
- Developing scientific-research activities
- Professional development of researchers, experts, and students
- Deepening knowledge regarding the Black Sea ecosystem
2025 - Within the framework of the grant project "Utilization of Algae Energy for Pollution Reduction and Development of 'Blue Strategy'", which involved the procurement of equipment required for measuring key ecological, climatic, and hydrological parameters of the Black Sea, we supplied and installed the multi-parameter sonde Aqua TROLL 700 of the American brand In-Situ for the Technical University of Georgia. The sonde is equipped with a data logger, as well as sensors for measuring pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature and conductivity, chlorophyll, turbidity, and oil pollution. Along with the device, we deployed a beacon and a heavy-duty buoy within the territorial waters of Georgia in the Black Sea aquatory.
